I really wanted to write something beautiful today. Something riveting and exciting. But nothing is coming out. My fingers, mind and heart are not connected and words are not writing themselves. So today I decided to share with you some of my favorite quotes. I have a 50 page Word Document (no exaggeration!) filled with quotes and lyrics that inspire me and make me feel whole. I want to share just a few with them with you here today -
You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing and dance and write poems and suffer and understand, for all of that is life. - Krishnamurti
You don’t have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body – CS Lewis
God is not a judgmental giant sitting up in heaven. It’s a force within us all-we r light bulbs in the electrical system of the universe – Holy Cow by Sarah Macdonald
When, at last, there is nothing left to lose, you are ready. For only then, in the sacred space of humility, are you able to recognize and embrace what has never been lost. That precious spark awaits you. – Unknown (to me)
Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful, and gigantic than you can possibly imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are – Unknown (to me)
If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream. – Martin Luther King
You will never be able to escape from your heart. So it’s better to listen to what it has to say. That way, you’ll never have to fear an unanticipated blow. – The Alchemist
You cannot do a kindness too soon because you never know how soon it will be too late – Ralph Waldo Emerson
No, it is impossible; it is impossible to convey the life-sensation of any given epoch of one’s existence—that which makes its truth, its meaning— its subtle and penetrating essence. It is impossible. We live, as we dream—alone. – Heart of Darkness
It’s hard to stay mad at anything when there is so much beauty in this world – American Beauty

I absolutely love quotes. I think they are beautiful and inspiring, and teach great lessons. I use quotes incredibly often with clients (and start many blog posts with them). Love all of these, especially the CS Lewis one. Thanks for sharing:)

Ok, love the CS Lewis quote!! And even though the book Heart of Darkness was difficult for me to get through years ago, that's a good quote from it.
Nice post for someone who had a little writer's block today! xo

The C.S. Lewis one is great. One of my favorite dance-related quotes is from 5Rhythms founder Gabrielle Roth:"The more you dance, the more you sweat. The more you sweat, the more you pray. The more you pray, the closer you come to ecstasy."
