MishogaWear

A few months ago, I met Mish via twitter and I fell in love with her clothes. She is a yoga clothes designer and her 70s flare and beautiful tie-dye clothing make quite the impression. She offered to make me a little something and boy was I excited, especially how busy she is! What generosity, I couldn’t believe my good luck. This past Saturday, I received the anxiously awaited package. Inside was a tank top and matching gauchos bottoms. Of course I just had to blog about it and review her items. So here we go!

Now, a quick digression –  I just want to make sure you guys know I AM NOT BIASED. I speak the truth through and through and if I do not like something I am not afraid to say so. I appreciate other’s honesty and I would much rather people tell me the truth than lie for the sake of my feelings. So I am going to be completely truthful to you guys – ok?

Throughout the entire conceptualization process, Mish was always asking me what color combinations I liked, what I was looking for and my preferences. Where else do you get that type of service? I know that if I were to walk into any other yoga clothing store, I get what I see. With MishogaWear, there is so much love in the creation of each piece that you can just feel it as you put on her well-crafted stuff. Being an energy sensitive gal, I really like that.

My first observation about Mish’s clothes as I was pulling the items from the package was the quality of the material. Her stuff is SOFT. You can tell the high quality cotton she used by the thickness and softness of the top and bottoms. That’s so important to me – it doesn’t matter what the shirt looks like, if the material is itchy, I won’t wear it. I instantly fell in love and I hadn’t even looked at the designs yet! Being the hippie I am, of course I loved the tie-dye bell bottom gauches. I could not wait to put it on – the final test.

The shirt fit snuggly, perfect for intense yoga classes where I struggle to keep my shirts down through downdog. The pants are flowy and fun; makes me want to go dancing! I twirled around the kitchen and was pleased that although the bottoms were loose, they did not rise up. Going through a quick vinyasa flow just verified it – everything stayed where it should.

I think my favorite part about the whole thing though is that I am going to make a statement. I know people are going to ask where I got it. I am going to stand out. And if you know me at all – you know that I think life is too short to stay hidden. To deny who you are. To not jump with joy at any opportunity and say HEY I’M HERE AND I AM WORTHY! Not to receive any sort of confirmation from others but because life is too good to not dance.

So yes, I am aware that this post is only a raving review of MishogaWear. I know that you might be thinking “it can’t be THAT great”. Oh, but it is. And I highly recommend you going to her e-store and checking out some of the clothes. I know that Terra has ordered some stuff from Mish and also loved it (click here to read her post!). You will NOT regret it I promise =) (click here to go to Mish’s page) now excuse me – I gotta go dance.

Namaste.
