Life’s Flurries

A flurry of life is all around me.
People are like little busy bees running around getting presents for their loved ones. I find myself constantly reminding my little inner wanting demon that things will not bring happiness. The best present anyone can give is their presence. So simple.
I am currently wearing a super thick delicious scarf, listening to holiday music, and all I can think about is how nice it is to be warm inside and yet be able to step outside and feel the cool air kiss my skin.
This past week I noticed some cliquey activities going on in the blogsphere that has me shaking my head. My crazy thoughts went a million miles a minute about the repercussions of this mini drama and the typical “what is wrong with me” thoughts. Then I paused, breathed, and acknowledged that being hurt is a choice.
On a happy note, I am pleased to announce I am the editor for the YIOM site that Mrs Lorin established last April. To read about it click here.
Today I am moving into my new apartment. That’s right ladies and gents, I moved once again – this time to a cute little duplex in my downtown. I will now be able to bike/walk to work and to my studio. This little city dweller is mighty pleased.
Big things are happening. Will I have the faith to trust that time is on my side?
The family and I have no big Christmas plans this year. Which I think fits neatly with the theme of my 2011; inner transformation, outer tranquility.
My 25 day yogathon is going splendidly. I learned my sugar consumption is regularly pretty low so eliminating sugar hasn’t been difficult at all. My body is getting stronger. My soul is becoming peaceful. Now if only I could learn to love myself.
A flurry of life is all around me.
Namaste.
