Blast From Past, Yup Yoga is Still Hard

Today is the day I am checking in to Blue Cliff Monastery for two days of peace. With everything going on in my life, I really need some time to disconnect and be present. Away from the busyness of life.

But have no fear my dear readers! Blast from the past is still going. The power of scheduling posts in advance =)

This particular post I am highlighting today, titled “Yoga Is Hard”, was written after a particularly tough yoga class. I felt inadequate in all sense of the word and crawled into bed defeated and licking my wounds. As I was almost asleep, it hit me – yoga is HARD because it tells us to do the opposite of everything our society teaches us. I turned on my computer and wrote the post in 10 minutes or so. It felt good to get those words out and my writing gave me comfort that night.

My favorite line from the article goes

Yoga is hard  but 100% worth it. And eventually, you’ll realize that not only have you been able to hold your intention; but you live your life more purposefully and in gratitude. Doesn’t that just sound amazing? Have you stepped on the mat today?

Yes! Yoga can certainly be hard – and it's those hard times that are the most fulfilling! I'm so excited for your retreat into stillness and looking forward to reconnecting with the radiant you when you come out on the other side!

Leave some love!
